For today...Monday, November 1, 2010

On My Mind...my uncle Ted who was diagnosed with colon cancer 2 years ago. He had a resection done and opted not to continue with chemo because he didn't like the side effects. We've just found out that it has spread to his liver, and both lungs. they are now doing palliative chemo and have said he has a month or two. I know every one's different but when they said that about my dad, we was gone 3 weeks later. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Outside My Window...it is dark of course and cold!!!

What we're Reading...I'm still reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and still enjoying it. I was told the beginning is kind of slow and it's now starting to pick up. With Tucker we read a bunch of Halloween books last week.

What We're Listening to...I skipped this last week so since then I've finished Imperfect Endings and am now listening to The Cookbook Collector by Allegra Goodwin.

What We're Watching...still watching Nick: iCarly, Big Time Rush, and Victorious are our favorites...DWTS: sorry to see Audrina go but better her than Jennifer Grey. Hoping she gets it together and stays in the competition longer. I'm thinking the football player with Ana (Kane?) or Bristol will be next to go...watching Amazing Race and Survivior still but don't really know who the players are because we missed the first couple of episodes while we were in FL but I like the shows themselves...we are also enjoying Undercover Boss and Cake Boss and I am strangely fascinated by Teen Mom of all things on MTV.

I am hoping..my Uncle does okay.

In the Kitchen...pot roast, pork chops, and chicken.

Around the House...piles of laundry in the process of being folded (depending on where I set-up "shop", more to be washed...need to switch Tucker's clothes around now that the colder weather is here, instead of digging in the bins in his closet!

Coming Up This Week...voting tomorrow, possibly a PTO board meeting, Tucker's sleeping over my mom's Fri and Sat, going to lunch and an art museum with my friend Joan on Sat.
