Random Thoughts on a Saturday Night

-I haven't been on here in awhile but decided tonight I would catch up with the rest of the world. Not really thrilled with the Daybook format so I got bored real quick doing it every week.
-I had a scary day on Wednesday-ending up in the ER. As I was driving to work, the left side of my face started to go numb (almost like I had had Novocaine) and then my left arm with numb. I was trying to decide if I should go to my mom's, in to work, or to the hospital. I decided to go to work and had them take my blood pressure which was actually fine but I was still numb and definitely not feeling well. I called my doctor and he told me to the ER immediately and it was at that point I got scared. I called Michael and my mom to let them know and headed to the ER. They did blood work, ran an EKG, did a CT scan. Everything was fine except my potassium was low but that wouldn't explain the numbness so they wanted to either admit me or do an MRI. they didn't get me into the MRI until almost 2:30 and that showed a severe sinus infection which I had been battling so they put me on an antibiotic and sent me on my way. (only 9 hours later!!) I saw my MD the next day and he has recommended I follow up with a neurologist. He thinks the face numbness could be a combination of the sinus infection, a migraine, and all the dental work I've had on that side of my mouth in the past 3 weeks ( a crown, a filling, and an extraction). I think this day rates as my second scariest day, only second to Tucker having a seizure when he was 5.
-I just finished reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and REALLY liked it! I saw the previews for it-it stars Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock and looked really good so I wanted to read it. It's about a young boy who's father is killed on 9/11. He finds a key among his belongings and goes on a search to find out what the key is to. It's told from his perspective (in parts) and has the feel of Room at times. Now I'm reading a biography of King Edward VIII (he's the one who abdicated the throne for Wallis Simpson); I saw a small segment on him on TV and wanted to find out more about him.
-I also just finished listening to The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. It was good; a typical Sparks' kind of book. Now I;m listening to Out of OZ which is the last of the series by Maguire. I'll be listening to it for awhile-it's 30 hours long!

-Well it turns out I don't have as much to say as I thought I did! And besides that, it's 7:04 and I haven't eaten dinner yet so bye for now!
