Catching up: Christmas!

Every Christmas eve, Michael and I open our present from Tucker and he gets to open one present. You can barely see what he got me: an angel with a garnet heart and Michael got Star Wars pjs. (Sorry-I couldn't get these next few pics to flip!) Tucker got his bat cave he's been wanting! Also the cookie and milk he left for Santa!

Santa's been here and Tucker tears through his stocking....and then his gifts

Beacuse of my mom's foot surgery she still can't do staris so we celebrated Christmas at her house this year! Tucker set the table and it was a group effort to get everything ready!

A group shot!

Opening gifts:

Tucker's latest artwork from school-he made a great crab!

Tucker's gift to everyone was a calendar with pictures of him with each of them! they were a big hit!

We started a new tradition this year: playing Bingo!

We also celebrated with my sister-in-law Susan and her 4 kids this week as usual. From top left corner: The annual cousin picture: Shannon, Bobby, Brooke, Tucker and Cassandra with Taylor in front. The kids always have a good time playing games; this year, they played Jenga. Tucker and Taylor open their stockings from Gramma

Catching Up: Getting the Christmas Tree and Light Parade

We went to get our tree last Sunday. We usually tag a tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving so headed up to get and lo and behold, someone had taken it! It's an honor system thing so you would hope people would be honest with it being the holidays and all!

We checked out the pre-cut trees and found one that we ended up with an even better one!

Once we got it home and in the living room, we set to decorating it...

and then posed with it!

The finished product and of course, Shrek checked it out!

That night we headed to a popular local light parade! It was amazing!

some local utility trucks...

Candyland, Thomas, and Snoopy-what more could you ask for?! This Snoopy was HUGE!! They lowered him to get through the stoplights!

Motorcycles, and Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive!
