Pinewood Derby

I had to wait to post this because Tucker wanted to surprise our family with his award! (We got togther this afternoon for my birthday!)

Yesterday was the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Tucker and Michael worked really hard on their car. Michael did a lot of the physical work and Tucker added the stickers. They came up with the camo/army theme and added an army man and rifle! Very cool!

Kyle, Tucker, and Chase (L-R) wait in line to weigh their cars

The all-important weigh-in. The cars can weigh up to 5.04 ounces. Tucker's weighed 4.95 so we added a dime to make it a little heavier.

Waiting to get started. Tucker, Michael, William, and his step-dad Peter. Tucker made a face but it's a nice picture of everyone else!

Tucker's car on the table...his is in the middle row, second one in, the army/camo one #49

One of Tucker's races

Tucker won the award for Best Design (tieing with his friend Sean)

Sean also won over-all for the Tigers.

It was a fun day and Tucker and Michael are already planning their car for NEXT year!

I remember my son doing this and having so much fun. Tucker has an awesome looking car. My army son would love it! Tell him he did a great job!
