A Busy Saturday

Tucker and I had a crazy-busy, but fun day on Saturday...

As usual we started off at t-ball. Here he is manning first base...

Hitting...

Hanging out in the dugout with Chris, Nate, and Isaiah...

After going home to change, we had lunch at McDonalds...

Then off to the library where Tucker always enjoys playing with their wooden dollhouse...

Next we headed to the mall for new sneakers (no picture)

It was finally time for Laurens' birthday party! Lauren is one of the kids from Tucker's daycare. She had her birthday party at the kids' section of a local gym. It's also where they have the indoor soccer leagues in our area. Here Tucker and Lauren play a little soccer before everyone else arrives...

Once everyone arrived, they all played kickball and soccer. Then they headed into the "fun gym" which was basically mats and things to climb on. tucker immediately went straight up this rope thing, once again demonstrating why we call him Monkeyboy!

He enjoyed swinging on the rope...

And was thrilled when he succeeded in landing in the circle...

Next it was time for pizza, cake and opening presents...

We did have time to breathe for a few minutes before we had to be at the local Speedbowl for Scout Night. It wasn't long before we found his friend Colby (and his grandparents) and headed to our seats. Apparently every year they have Scout Night and the kids are admitted for free if they wear their uniform. For an hour before the races start, the race cars are all down on the front straight-away and you get to go down and see them and meet the drivers and most importantly, they give out candy!

It turned out to be a really nice night and Tucker had a lot of fun! Here he is posing with Colby! (the sun was in his eyes and I think Colby thought he was saluting!)

We ended up staying until 10:30 which is fine because we only live about 5 miles down the road! All in all, it was a busy day but we had a lot of fun!

The McDonald's picture made me laugh. I like the saluting one too!
