Kids Picks-June
Hard to believe but it's time again for Kid's Picks over at 5 Minutes for Mom!
Swing! by Rufus Butler Sedar. We picked this one up at our local bookstore and Tucker really loved all the movement in the pictures!
Uncle Frank's Pit by Matthew McElligott. Tucker got this one from school. It's the story of eccentric Uncle Frank who comes to visit. He starts building a hole in the backyard and soon it's large enough for him to live in! He eventually makes an important find! Tucker enjoyed this book because it focused on what he likes to do which is dig in the yard! He liked seeing what Uncle Frank would add next to his underground area!
The Boy Who Was Raised By Librarians by Carla Morris. Another book Tucker brought home from the school library. It's the story of a little boy who spends so much time in the library as he's growing up that the librarians practically raise him! It's a very nice story with awesome illustrations!
How Much, How Many, How Far, How Heavy, How Long, How Tall is 1000? by Willis Hudson
This one just had Tucker's name written all over it! He is very into counting everything and loves these kind of compare/comtrast books when they relate to numbers, especially larger numbers!

We haven't read any of these! Thanks for sharing, especially the counting book. It looks great!
I've seen those Swing books (there are a few different ones I think). I wondered if they would really hold a kid's interest or not.
And that bottom one looks really interesting!
We've only seen the Swing book at the bookstore and I'm afraid to bring it home! ;D It always catches my little guy's attention.
LOVED The Boy Who Was Raised by Librarians. Awesome book!
Uncle Frank's Pit looks like a great find -- gonna go put a library hold on it now...
We LOVE Swing, and the other one like it- Gallop. I'm as mesmerized by the moving pictures as my kids are! :)
