Disney Trip, Day 1 & Day 2
It was hard to believe but it was finally time for our Disney trip! We started a countdown when we first started talking about it and we started at day 256!!!!
We got up super early to be out of the house at 5:30 AM to be at the airport in Providence airport at 6:30. We had an 8:40 AM flight to Orlando and we weren't sure how long it would take to get through security. We made good time and made it to our gate! Tucker was really excited because it was his first flight!

Getting our luggage in Orlando. Let me just tell you, it was HOT!!!!
Technically we didn't go to Disney our first day. Julie and family very graciously had us over for the evening. We got our rental car and made our way to her house, apparently the long, not-very-scenic way but that would be due to our GPS! We actually went around in a circle twice because Tucker hit the screen and It redirected us. We did finally make it there though!
Predictably, Tucker and Jake bonded instantly over blocks and were very excited over the tower they built in Jake's room!
After some pizza from Pizza Hut, Julie, Madi, and I left the boys at home and went to a cute coffee shop to meet Tiffany and Hannah! Tiffany and I have become friends through our blogs and we were so excited to finally meet each other! We ordered hot chocolate, scones, and brownies---yum! (I also got to meet the very cute Landon, whom Tiffany was watching)
The next morning, Tucker and Jake bonded some more over the Wii...it was funny to hear them singing "summer of '69"
After a delicious breakfast with Jul and her family, we were off to Disney!!!
We were so excited to see the official Walt Disney World sign!!!
( Don't worry, Michael took the picture!)
We found our resort and loved it right away! We stayed at Pop Century Resort-each section of the hotel is a different decade! We were in the 60's and had the hippy dippy pool!
After we checked in and brought our luggage to our rooms, we headed out to Epcot. (Again , Michael took the picture while I was driving!)
We decide to do the countries first and then come back another time and do the rest. We started in Canada and I made Michael and Tucker pose by the flower gardens. We really enjoyed O Canada and Now I want to go there!

If you look closely, you can see Tucker in the phone booth!
After we made it through United Kingdom, we were all starving and skipped over France, Japan, and Morocco so we could eat in America. (Figuring we'd go back and do them another day).
After lunch, we headed for Italy. Tucker really liked this fish fountain for some reason!
He liked the music in Germany so much, he was dancing around the lampposts, like Gene Kelly!
Norway was one of our favorites and though he was nervous, Tucker ended up loving Maelstrom!
We then headed back to the hotel to rest and relax by the pool before eating dinner. This cool green yo-yo is where the stairs are! tucker enjoyed swimming in the pool and though the shower from the flower was especially cool!
There was also a ping pong table so of course, Tucker and Michael had to try their hand at that!
We walked around a little to check out the rest of the resort. These giant foos-ball men were pretty cool and Tucker was so excited to see them in person. (Tucker and Michael are in front of it so you can see how big they are!)
Of course, we had to stop and play Twister as we walked through!
If you look closely, you can see Michael and Tucker by the front wheel, just so you can appreciate how big this Big Wheel is!
So that was our first two days! I'll be back soon with Day 3!
